Soooo, the Raleigh News & Observer recently did a write-up about our new line of tees (yipeeee!). It’s a really cute article that I think perfectly outlines how this tee-shirt line came into existence.

With botox, boob jobs, butt injections, rhinoplasty, liposuction, and face lifts seemingly becoming a way of life in today’s society, I felt that something needed to be said for those of us who are happy just the way we are. From that ideology came this design, “Too Pretty for Plastic Surgery.”
The tee is not meant to knock those who have plastic surgery but instead aims to celebrate those of us who are just fine with our small boobs, full nose, big hips, normal sized butt, and extra padding in all the right places.

Who doesn’t love a cool finger gun?
Inspiration struck for this design while I was working on the comic book backdrop for the Off My Chest Tees website. As you know, in the comic book world, BOOM! and POW! and KAPOW! are references to some major action happening in particular sequences. A fan of all things comic book related, I wanted to create a t-shirt that had some major in-yo -face type of action happening and from that this BOOM! design was created. To me, this tee has that retro 80′s “Goonies” vibe to it.
So, if there’s anybody out there who wants to show the world that they are all about action, this tee is for you!

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s HEALTHCARE!
This tee was of course inspired by all of the hoopla surrounding the American health-care debate that continues to be a hot button topic. Watching and reading all of the backlash to President Obama attempting to make history by actually giving all Americans a free trip to the doctor has to be one of the most perplexing things I’ve ever experienced.
I mean this guy here, (President Obama), is offering to cut out these gangsters aka insurance companies who take all of your money and then deny you and your family coverage and you’re…against him? And they say America is the land of the free…yeah right!
So, from all of this confusion came the idea for this shirt. The way I see it, throughout this entire health-care debate, the insurance companies are and always will be the villains who get away with murder (literally) while a bunch of unsuspecting victims are on the other side of the machete awaiting certain death. Let’s talk inspiration. Out of all of the tees I’ve designed thus far for the “Off My Chest Tees” webstore, the “God Is My Biggest Fan” tee has definitely got to be my favorite. You ever feel so blessed in life that you’re just overcome with this indescribable feeling of greatness?
Well, my inspiration for this tee came after one Saturday evening I spent with some of my girlfriends. We met up for dinner and chatted the night away about the changes that were happening in our lives, our future goals, and family. Things got so good, that even our waitress joined in on the conversation. I remember going home that night feeling really lucky to have these people in my life that could put off such a warm and positive aura that even strangers would feel comfortable joining in on our plethora of conversations.
The following day, while having dinner with my beau, Quintessential Boy, I just looked at him and said “You know what, I really feel like God Is My Biggest Fan.” Later that night, I came home and created the design you see above. You see, although I’m not the most religious person in the world, I definitely feel as though you can NEVER ignore or deny God’s presence in life.
